\"13.Top&Menu<\/a>The Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry Youth Foundation (FASEJ) and the Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation decided to form new bonds by initiating a unique partnership in benefit of the youth of the Maison d’enfants \u00e0 caract\u00e8re social (M.E.C.S.) Saint-Exup\u00e9ry of the Saint-Philippe educational village in Meudon.<\/p>\n

Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil\u2019s mission: To cater for, educate, train and integrate youth with educational, social and family difficulties. Today, 13,000 youth are taken care of within 200 establishments in France. These boys and girls are personally accompanied within a safe environment in order to learn about life and to develop their interpersonal skills and know-how in the professional field of their choice.<\/p>\n

\"13.Middle<\/p>\n

Through this partnership, the 48 youth (12-18 years old) of this establishment of the Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation studied the extraordinary life, the humanist values and the literary works of the famous French writer over a period of several months and were able to discover the fascinating world of aviation.<\/p>\n

On 18 May 2011, our two Foundations sealed a partnership during an officialisation event at the M.E.C.S. Saint-Exup\u00e9ry in Meudon in the presence notably of representatives of the two Foundations, as well as several members of the family of the author of The Little Prince. Fran\u00e7ois d\u2019Agay, nephew and godson of Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, gave a special touch to this evening by recalling childhood memories of his uncle Antoine, and LTC Herv\u00e9 de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry explained his job of pilot of the French Air Force and the various professions in the aeronautical industry.<\/p>\n

\"13.Bottom<\/p>\n

This evening also offered the opportunity to present the cooperation projects of the two Foundations and to display the art pieces made by the youth during writing and painting workshops conducted by the educators of the M.E.C.S. Saint-Exup\u00e9ry.<\/p>\n

At the start of the school year, the festivities will continue together with the youth following in the footsteps of Saint-Exup\u00e9ry\u2026<\/p>\n
