From 9 to 9 April 2013, a unique exhibition entitled Once Upon a Time&#8230; The Little Prince was held at the H\u00f4tel de la Salle (Mus\u00e9e des Lettres &amp; Manuscrits \/ Aristophil) in Paris to launch the international celebrations of the 70th anniversary of this famous tale by Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-790\" style=\"margin: 45px 0px 45px 20px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fondation-antoine-de-saint-exupery.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/27.MiddleMenu-FR-EN-2013-04-expolpp-2.jpg\" alt=\"27.Middle&amp;Menu FR-EN 2013-04-expolpp-2\" width=\"198\" height=\"195\" \/>On this occasion, the Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry Youth Foundation presented the exhibition The Little Prince in Relief, in partnership with Paris-based science museum Cit\u00e9 des Sciences et de l&#8217;Industrie, French publisher Gallimard and the association Arrimage, intended to promote a never-before-seen project: making the poetry of this tale, which associates text and illustrations, accessible to blind and visually-impaired children and grown-ups by creating a tactile version.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a society where images occupy an increasingly important place, the question of access to art and culture for blind persons is fundamental. Through this innovative project of putting into relief Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry\u2019s original drawings, which magnificently illustrate the most translated French work of literature in the world, blind persons will be able to discover it on an equal footing with sighted persons for the very first time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-794 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fondation-antoine-de-saint-exupery.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/27.Bottom-FR-EN-2013-04-expolpp-1.jpg\" alt=\"27.Bottom FR-EN 2013-04-expolpp-1\" width=\"579\" height=\"241\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The adapted version of the drawings of The Little Prince also constitutes a formidable pedagogical tool for promoting tactile reading.
